| fish size and weight for plate rules Ok just looked at another forum "world armchair clique we only tell our pals stuff sea fishing" lol and spotted some guy bragging about 2 bass he caught ,checking the size of the lure and using it to scale the fish one was defiantly undersized even looked to small to take ,maybe there should be a rule change on taking fish maybe something like this for bass anything in the 3 to 4lb bracket can be taken anything over should be put back as should immature fish surely this would be a common sense way of saving good breeding stock and letting immature fish grow on to be breeding stock .It is such a shame to see fish taken for the plate when on the limit ,this weight instead of measurement could work for most of our fish stocks cod ect that are shore caught and as every angler i know takes scales fishing there could be no excuse taking undersize fish ,,i say weight not measure should be the way to determine weather fish should be thrown back what do you think ,,and hats off to the bass angler returning a 10lb bass this week |
