Hi all, I am having trouble making my mind up about where to fish Friday 15th July, Hythe,Dungeness or Deal? I am not massively experienced and need some tips. I fished Dungeness couple of weeks back and just caught loads of whiting! Fished Hythe last week and caught a nice size Sea Bass. any tips on baits, where to fish would be most welcome, Cheers

Re: Dungeness you might have to go right up the top of the extension mate, the first half of the pier will be alive with tinsel flingers

Re: Dungeness thanks Paul, will keep that in mind. I take it their all fishing for Mackerel, will it sill be any good trying for a little Mackerel at the top end of the pier? being a week day I was hoping to avoid the crowd.

I was on th Admiralty on Saturdayn all day and could not get away from the Ethnic "Tinsel Slingers" I just could not do any serious fishing even at high tide when I tried down the walll for Bass. Managed a doggy but then got p.ssd off with being dragged in I moved to the start of the pier and then yes more appeared only to the same and to add insult to injury I was faced with a Grey seal right infront of me who dived every time I cast out. Left at 4pm not a happy angler will not be back there again for a while I know. ![]()

Re: Dungeness Hey all, went fishing at the Admiralty, and yep, plenty of tinsel flingers! didn't catch anything on the bait, but caught 5 Mackerel on white feathers. When the tide started to run, it went crazy! my 8 oz weight couldn't even hold the bottom. Am thinking of going fishing in a couple of weeks, but not sure whether to try Dover beach (to the right of the Admiralty when facing it) or heading on down to Dungeness. can anyone give me any advice? Quite like Dungeness, but last time the whiting where just damn everywhere and I was getting sick of catching them. any advice would be most welcome. many thanks
