elmer rocks fishing advice please

Hi All,

I poped down to have a look at elmer rocks the other day which looks very fishy?
It was low tide so i walked round the back of the rocks and it was mad there was fish jumping everywere which looked like mackeral.
So i walked out a little more and there were huge bass one swam past my feet i couldnt beleave it. So the next day me and matt (mattywooo) went down there with some bass poppers and again fish everywere but not a touch.
They were so close they were banking them selfs at one point then flipping back in lol crazy.
Anyway could anyone give me some advice on this place? As in techniques,baits,tides etc....
Any help would be much appreciated
