Madeira, Porto Santo or inland fishing

Hi!

I'm off to Madeira at the end if June (until middle of July). We are travelling round and also heading to Porto Santo. Apart from the organised fishing boats, does anyone have experience of fishing from the shore/inland here?

I'll be taking my telescopic card rod (3lb TC), big pit reel (15lb line) and a variety of leads and hooks.

Any advice on location, methods and fishing permits would be really appreciated.
