| christchurch dorset hello chaps took the kids down to christchurch today for a bit of a jolly and as we walked through the town and over a bridge looking down into the water like any fisherman would was suprised to see a huge amount 50+ of what think was mullet?? are they mullet! silver tight scales all over , all about the same size 9-10" long ,just waiting against the current anyone confirm the identity of these fish for me cheers dave |

| Re: christchurch dorset Yep Mullet, and they are a bugger to catch, most successfully used is a red mepps number 2 or even a number one, take off the treble add a single hook with a small bit of ragworm really light gear clear monofilement line no more then about 6lbs strain and slow retrieve, then hang onto your hat because boy do they go. |
