Nice.

As for the crabs, I just use a drop net with a Mackerel head over the harbour wall and I normally end up with about 20% of them being velvet Swimmers. You get a few prawns in with them to sometimes. There is no better bait in the world for Wrasse, Pollock, Bass than live prawn.

good tip for gathering the velvets, will give it a go!
i agree about the prawns but the only prob is keeping them alive. any ideas?

Not being funny, but I would say nearer 2lb than 4lb mate.
Having caught loads of 4lb Wrasse, and using your float and the leaves as a scale, I think you need to use a set of scales to determine its weight. you can get some really good digital scales in ebay for less than a fiver.
