| Re: New guy! aiming for Ballan Wrasse Nice. As for the crabs, I just use a drop net with a Mackerel head over the harbour wall and I normally end up with about 20% of them being velvet Swimmers. You get a few prawns in with them to sometimes. There is no better bait in the world for Wrasse, Pollock, Bass than live prawn. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk |

| Re: New guy! aiming for Ballan Wrasse Not being funny, but I would say nearer 2lb than 4lb mate. Having caught loads of 4lb Wrasse, and using your float and the leaves as a scale, I think you need to use a set of scales to determine its weight. you can get some really good digital scales in ebay for less than a fiver. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk |
