| What Braid Hi All,Got 2 reels loaded with mono,never used anything else!.Just bought a new okuma Aquios,and thought I'd try out this braid business.Only thing I know about it is what I've read,Knots hard to tie,expensive to buy etc.Any advice appreciated guys,What type/make/size for general fishing,and where's the cheapest place to buy!!  )    |

| Re: What Braid I have found stren 20lb to be the best braid. It is relatively easy to knot to flouracarbon and excelent knot strength. I have found that 20 yds of line infront of the braid gives enough stretch for the lead to hold bottom. I also use 80lb braid as shock leader. Braid does have advantages in many situations but not all situations good luck |
