Red face fishing at the chale bay

Im fishing at chale bay 18th of September found the car park and the path but when you get to the cliff how do you get down to the beech. The other thing what is be caught there is the cod in yet.

At the cliff top there's some wooden steps going down half way, then just folow the path down. There is a sign saying footpath closed, don't take any notice, its been there for at least 10 years.
Wouldn't suggest you go down on your own though as it can be difficult.

No cod about and they are quite rare from Island beaches at anytime. Should be some good bass though.
If you want a slim chance of a cod try Fort Vic or Brook, but even then it might be too early.

doggies and pout, though if you go left at the bottom and walk towards blackgang you chances of a conger will increase, small chance of a late ray.
