| Fishing equipment, clothing cost As I spend more time with fishing, I started to think about buying additional equipment, clothing. When I add up all of them it becomes really expensive. Items to buy which came to my mind. These does not include actual fishing gear. Tent (I have standard camping tent. I don't know if it will be OK to use for fishing) Waterproof overall Foldable chair Foldable bed (I don't know if airbed would do the same job) Sleeping beg Fishing trolley to carry all of the above. Can you think anything else? When I come back from holiday, I might go for a big shopping to buy all of these. Then I can do over night freshwater or salt water fishing. |

| Re: Fishing equipment, clothing cost By the way, if I used a tent on the beach for fishing, would anyone say anything about it. For freshwater fishing I might get argos bivvy which is the cheapest option for me. |

i don't think a ordinary tent will be strong enough for the beach mate (i had a beach buddy tent and the wind had it , think its in iceland now lol) a ordanary tent would be ok if your camped in the dunes , colour not a problem beach buddy http://www.fishingmegastore.com/ron-...ltas~2185.html do you mean this argos one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/0744373.htm what will your max budget be for a bivvy mate Last edited by NICK R; 09-05-2010 at 08:43 PM. |

| Re: Fishing equipment, clothing cost I dont want to spend too much for starting kit. After a while once I know exactly my own needs, I might go for alternative options. So argos item is for starting optin for me. I will just see. But whatever option I go with, I will get dickies waterproof padded overall. If I am going to be out in the rain and cold, this would keep me warm and dry. http://www.alltoolsdirect.co.uk/dick...000-1417-p.asp |

| Hi buddy, there isnt much need for a tent or half the other items you listed ! What you Will need is a decent set of bib and braces or one piece suit ( thermal / waterproof / comfortable ) mine cost around 60 for a great 2 peice flotation suit .. Bed ... pointless ! as is sleeping bag.. The best time to fish is at night .. sleeping is for when you come home ![]() Invest in a Colemans twin mantle lamp ( around 50 quid ) .This will light up your patch and ALSO keep you nice and warm !! Seat/Chair ....pointless... ask around and see if you can pick up a tall plastic bucket with lid...you can then keep all your tackle in it AND sit on it ( i have one and so do most match anglers ) You need to remember - warmth plus dryness are VERY IMPORTANT ! as is a good source of light .. It's coming up to good winter fishing so get ready now.. I will guide you as much as i can ..
