What you Will need is a decent set of bib and braces or one piece suit ( thermal / waterproof / comfortable ) mine cost around 60 for a great 2 peice flotation suit ..
Bed ... pointless ! as is sleeping bag..
The best time to fish is at night .. sleeping is for when you come home
Invest in a Colemans twin mantle lamp ( around 50 quid ) .This will light up your patch and ALSO keep you nice and warm !!
Seat/Chair ....pointless... ask around and see if you can pick up a tall plastic bucket with lid...you can then keep all your tackle in it AND sit on it ( i have one and so do most match anglers )

You need to remember - warmth plus dryness are VERY IMPORTANT ! as is a good source of light ..
It's coming up to good winter fishing so get ready now.. I will guide you as much as i can ..
Steve

I thought he was after tackle that would be used for coarse fishing not just a night on the beach

Re: Fishing equipment, clothing cost

I bought this. I hope it keeps me dry and warm.

Info from the website:

The Dickies W15000 is made from PU coated Polyester Oxford. Heavy duty zip front under velcro fastened stormflap. Multi detailed chest pockets. Two back pockets including rule pocket. Velcro adjustable hems and cuffs. Drawcord adjustable hood. Reflective piping detail. Back elasticated waist. The Dickies WP15000 waterproof coverall is ideal for many tasks in cold weather. It is particularly popular with fishermen, tractor drivers, groundsmen etc - the one piece design eliminates gaps where wind or water can get in. This is particularly useful when you are spending prolonged periods sitting in the rain!

I will just see. But whatever option I go with, I will get dickies waterproof padded overall. If I am going to be out in the rain and cold, this would keep me warm and dry.

Get yourself on the E-bay site. You can pick up some super, low priced, used gear and tackle. I've just got a Flotation Suit for £49.99, cheapest I've found but damn good quality. There's also loads of reels and rods plus all the accessories you'll need. Good luck buying.
