Smile best day so far

Had my boat down in weymouth for about a month now and have struggled to catch on several marks but yesterday made it all worth while.we headed out from the ferrybridge early and was on our first drift about 7.30. a long drift and no fish. motered back to west shambles buoy for our second drift and not long into it I netted a 12:14 cod for my son, next drift he had a 5:8 bass then on the next drift he was very surprisingly bitten off.over went some heavier gear on the next drift and he landed a 40lb tope on the next two drifts we had one more each one at 32lb and I had the smallest at 24lb.we were totaly shocked to catch these species all off the same mark on every drift and have got the numbers and cant wait to get back out there. On slack water we decided to head for the shambles and our first drift resulted in my first dorset turbot of 4:08.A few more drifts resulted in no bites so we headed for home more than happy with our results.although catching the tope was great result. my best moment was seeing the turbot coming to the net.roll on next week-end

Re: best day so far

Hi Scottish and Mental, yeah it seems to be a good drift but which has been the most productive for you.we have always fished the flood and moved to the shambles on the ebb. should we stay were we are and fish it up and down.?Cheers mate.
