i went to goldcliffe yesterday trying to get some crabs (peelers preferebly) but we didnt find any at all to bring home but my boy enjoyed jumping in the mud just glad i didnt take my car lol but again to my amazement to find that nobody has picked up their litter ie from bottles of coke to shockleader all screwed up in a ball on the sea wall even my boy got caught on a lenth of it when he was climbing up the rocks but what i didnt like was the fact that a postman had dumped a load of letters in between some rocks and it wasnt as if he/she had hid them that well. as they still had the address on them i really wanted to take them to a sorting office to get the offender done, but instead i put them in the bin. the real question is should i have got the person named and shamed for the mess he/she has made and hopefully others will see that they wont get away with it.

Re: no crab but loads of litter Unfortunately some anglers give us all a bad rep and im sick of seeing Chesil in the summer looking like a rubbish tip after so called "pleasure anglers" come down for the day and leave crap all over the place ! I just wonder if all the mail you found had the same address on it and was dumped by the person who was named on it ! Personally i would have stuck them in a bag with a note to the effect " stop leaving all your shit on my beach or tell your postie to atleast deliver the friggin mail " Makes me ragin when all it takes is 5 bloody seconds and a bit of curteousy to leave the beach as you found it ! __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting

Re: no crab but loads of litter It all come down to lazynes. It only takes a couple of mins to put your rubbish n a bag and put it in your bin at home or by the place you're fishing. One of the beaches I fish do a twice yearly clean. If it's not cleaned you can't fish it. It's the cleanest beach I've fished. tj

Re: no crab but loads of litter the mail was all to different houses but in the same street so it has to be the postman and it annoys me so much because i take my boy sometimes and thinks he can just throw his rubbish on the floor because everyone else is doing it , so if our generation of anglers cant keep it tidy the next generation are certainly not, it just a shame that the mindless indeviduals are and will be spoiling it . it would be nice to see our area tidy and litter free like the one you fish but i dont think it would work due to the mentality of the anglers who fish in the area and no-body would go to the lenths that are needed to sort out the coast line.

Re: no crab but loads of litter Litter ![]() ![]() ![]() Drives me mad. I pick it up when I see it (within reason...). It's not always anglers but when it's discarded line, sweetcorn tins, groundbait bags, etc it's pretty bloody obvious. I hate picking it up. I hate cleaning up after other people and I hate feeling like a 'sap' for doing it. BUT I'd rather do it than think of members of the general public seeing it and thinking all anglers are the same. Mind you, there's a difference between anglers and people who fish....

Re: no crab but loads of litter What's wrong with you people. Didn't you know that if you dump stuff in a bush it vanishes because the litter pixies come during the night? As for the postman, they're paid to deliver the post. Having said that they're probably a temp anyway. Shop them and see. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk
