4 hours morning session, same day 4 hours night session, next day 5 hours session 70 anglers 5 zones top 5 in team also got in team 07. Lads my advice is only advice what works for me, if you want to use my tips do so if not please dont, thats it. There are anglers on this forum that have different ways thats fine and i respect you for that, so please just show a wee bit back in return thats it. As the year goes on everyone will catch fish, if my tips help you fine if you dont want to use them fine and they are far from for the novice i can reassure you on that. I will garantee as year goes on i will put on alot of fish not all as i like to fish for my pleasure as well lol fair is fair. I also have nothing to prove to anyone as you dont have to to me, life is to short its here to have a ball and fish and drink etc etc. Right shockleader/Get shockleader and go to tag end/tie a half knot, spit(pliers guys, your teeth lol) pull tight/get mainline behind half knot go 7-8 times around shockleader/you should have tag end on main line in your right hand if your right handed, bring it back to knot and form a loop/bring it back in at least 3 times(i do 4)/now nearly there/spit pull tag end on mainline up then pull down snug behind knot on shockleader/trim off tag ends/ not to much just leave a tiny stub on ends. The idea of the knot is the tighter it gets pulled on the mainline the tighter the half knot gets. Ps them drinks are for me lol Tight lines

The best shot i could get. Tip/ dont fish were its too weedy anyway. (but saying that fishing at the side of weed can produce) Great knot has served me well over many years, hope it works for you. Remember dont put mainline through half knot, even if you pull week part out as the more pressure on it the shockleader will cut clean through it, mainline goes behind half knot, so its 15lb pulling 60lb not the other way round. No fishing 2night im afraid as its gailforce today and raining in buckets, but on the plus side its great for the river

Weather has brightened up abit mate just called so going out for an hour or 2. Its only march so i dont expect much, normally at sep/oct (october is my favourite month off the shore) 2 rods going mental. Now i owe you guys a big thanks as i have never fished at this time of year and i have allready (shore)@ 11 fish (others)@16. So thank you for shareing that with me. Fingers crossed tonight no pressure im breaking the new rod in. Mate im fishing with tonight taught me alot, so il be out at 8pm- 10pm. venue is 60 miles there and back but it is at the right time my favourite beach. Tight lines, Fish on.. Confidence is a tad down tonight as its my first time fishing it at this time of year, but wont know till i try. Shut up paul for f,ck sake (thats me).
