Beach Multiplier on no budget

I am looking to get a bit more distance with my cast as at the moment im using a largish fixed spool reel.

I know i can get more distance with a multiplier but have next to no money so was wondering what I can get. Having never used one before im not too sure what im looking for and dont want to end up with a boat reel.

Saw a Storm Richochet 300 on amazon and have some amazon vouchers so this could be a possibility.

What does everyone think?

Rather than spend money on a cheap new multi , buy a good second hand one the benefits are awsome , you should be looking at the abu 6500 c3 ct range or the daiwa 7ht 7ht turbo , or if your fishing rough ground go for the penn 525 mag ,slosh 30 there are some better cheaper ones , the okuma magnatex isnt a bad reel

Re: Beach Multiplier on no budget

I'm thinking that a pair of rough ground reels might be next on my shopping list at the moment. I've seen the Sl20sh for £65. Does anyone know the line cap and ratio on the Okuma's? I've heard they're not bad for the money either.

Re: Beach Multiplier on no budget

the okumas are fine rich if loaded up properly.......18-20lb maybe more if useing a thin diameter for breaking strain

my lad dazza has a 20 magnetix CTversion..... and to be honest likes the reel, decent retrieve and drag...nice chunky handle and seems to cast fine, all in all quite a decent buy !! and as bling goes not a bad reel to look at, quite smart

not the out and out performance of an abu mag, but not the price tag neither ! horses for courses
