Re: fishing in dover port

the breakwater is without a doubt the best mate,it has deep water and strong tides , it is not connected to the land ( a boat takes you out and brings you back ) therefore there are no pedestrians in the way,
it also is governed by the weather forecast, generally if the shipping forecast includes a force 5 wind or above then the boats dont run,
its not the easiest of venues to fish but one of the best

Re: fishing in dover port

the fishing isn't cheap,
if i remember rightly you have to pay for pier membership of £7,then £6 to fish for the day and then £5 for the boat to take you there and back,
boats leave the 'Dumphead' Pontoon near the Marina, at 8am and returning at 3:30pm sharp. Anyone can go, but remember you must be 18 years old, or over 16 if accompanied by an Adult.

Paul, its 7 quid the first time you go, 6 quid every time after, it works out at 6 quid to fish and the first pound is the pier membership, the boat is now 6 bucks, and the Marina car park is the place to park, if theres more than 1 of you, you can drop your gear and one of you off at the dump head, then go park the car, th closer to the eastern entrance around the nuckle area on the breakwater is best to fish, also admiralty pier, prince of wales pier or even shakespeare beach, there is a thread i put up here last year about all kent marks, Kent fishing marks in detail, maybe it shud of been a sticky mate, would not of needed a reply then lol
