Re: blackpool sea fishing howdy-its my first post so here goes-fishing in blackpool can be hit and miss at times,i have fished it only a couple of times but never blanked,if you can get up to the north shore,nr the metropole hotel(north pier) as you look out to seawith the pier on your left and the metropole on ur right, theres a walkway going down to ur right pretty high up of the beach, this walkway goes on for a good distance, good fishing can be found more or less anywhere down that stretch1/2 way down is the better choice,if ur fishing this spot you can only fish 4 approx 4-5 hrs cos of the tide,-----expect to catch flounder, eels, cod, plenty of whiting, the odd bass if ur lucky, use fresh lugworm, tipped of with a piece of mackeral/squid-i hope this helps you-winter is on its way and the colder it gets the better the fishing-so get out those winter woolies-regards steve

Re: blackpool sea fishing hi paul-sorry i didnt get back to you sooner, theres a point where you can actually take the car down to where you are actually fishing -if you drive down the prom past tiffanys hotel you come to a point where you can drive down onto the lower deck-sorry but i cant give you exactly where it is,but i know theres always cars parked there so look out for it-hope you find it-let me know how you get on-might see you soon-should be fishing your way soon ,will let you know when [when it gets a bit colder]-fished bristol channel 177 miles away on sat night[1st nov]rained all day-soaked throu to the skin, even though we had waterproofs on,rained to much ,all that way for 1lousy whiting, but apparently it has been fishing well, just not today-to much freshwater in the bay-but it was a good day out-speak to you soon --steve

Re: blackpool sea fishing Hi Paulfy4, I used to live in Blackpool, in fact thats where I learnt to fish from the age of ten or so. I suggest the best place may still be off the beach at Rossal. If you park at the end of the road next to the hospital and walk along the coast going left towards Blackpool you come to what was known as the point and the only place to fish. Good Luck. Fergy

Re: blackpool sea fishing The glitterball can be very productive on the right day. So can most of the Flyde coast such as Anchorsholm, Rossal and North Pier (permit needed) Bait needed is most definitely black lug, if you don't pump your own, which blackpool is great for, you can contact Paul on 07939843257. His worms are spot on, he'll sort you out for tonight
