Fish ID Book

As there seems to be quite a bit of confusion regarding fish ID, I just thought I would recommended a useful book:
The Collins Pocket guide . Fish of UK and Europe by Peter J Miller and Michael J Loates.

This covers both fresh and salt water fish. The illustrations are very good and the book is small enough to fit into a tackle bag.
I bought my copy a couple of years ago from Amazon. I think it was out of print then and I had to wait about 30 days for it. Just in case anyone needs it the ISBN for it is ISBN 0-00-219945-9 It cost me £14 inc P&P

You may have to search using the ISBN code. I think that was what I done at the time.

Re: Fish ID Book

Oh my word!! that's the last time I am throwing it in my tackle bag.

I can't believe it is between £175 and £275 for a used book. I only bought it 2 years ago, new for £14.
erm anyone want to swap it for a new Zippy

For sea fish i reccomend Collins guide to the Sea Fishes of Britain & North-Western Europe by Bent J.Muus & Preben Dahlstron (And no, I did'nt make up the authors names...) Got my copy on ebay for £3 & it's a haack with a dust jacket, unlike the aforementioned book. £275 Jeez....

Re: Fish ID Book

Looks an interesting book Ian. I wont ask how much you paid for that. But if you don't bring any of your ginger wine I will tell your wife you bought it from me for thousands lol.
