| Re: Salmon on the fly Aye it's true. In a bad year you may fish for hundreds of hours before catching a fish. Some folks fish for years, if not their entire lives without nailing one. I go fishing for the quiet comtemplative time i can't get with the wife and kids, and the scenery, and if i catch a Salmon then that's a bonus. I'd be rattled if i caught nothing while Pike, Perch, Trout or Sea Fishing but Salmon fishing is a different midset. There's no point expecting fish every day, hell every week, unless you are seriously minted and can afford several hundred pounds for a days fishing-i can't. I pay £90 for three miles of double bank fishing for Salmon, Sea-Trout and Brownies from February to October 15th. Cheap as chips! But wait till you get a double figure fish on the fly and you know why you do it ![]() __________________ "I have a really nice stepladder. Sadly, I never knew my real ladder." Richard |
