Leave Gilbey out of this we were talking about Robson Greene.

Mixed feelings about Greene. I know this is likely to get shot down but personally I don't dislike him some of the time (some of the time his fish handling skills are appalling). He is just a low-knowledge punter having a go and I wonder how many of us just jelous we didn't land the job, the spawny get.


Nowhere near the same league as that other wonderful amateur Bernard Cribbins and one person I do highly rate on the telly Martin Bowler , both in Catching the Impossible. Utter class!

I think that sums my feelings up about Robson perfectly.

i think he's done well in getting a fishing programme on mainstream TV and showing us a load of different types of fishing...even if some of it isn't our cup of tea.

one thing is for sure he's given me some amazing ideas for holidays for when i win lottery.

Just you wait till his Seeking Shadows DVD comes out in the autumn Peter , its awesome ,filmed exclusively in West wales ,blue planet quality footage of sharks ......A proper angler ,making a proper fishing programme ,thats relevant to normal people
