| Fly fishing Hi all new member just joined yesterday and as well as boat fishing and shore match fishing i do fly fishing. I am a member off the big agivey and this year i have had 2 salmon on the fly and a trout @ 2lb 12oz on the worm blackheads, and nearly 400 small brownies half a pound or so on the worm. Its only my 2nd year in the club and i love all methods fly, spinning or the worm. But i have leared most importantly i have to learn to read the water for the salmon, ie weather temp taking times etc put it this way i have a lot to learn, respect to those in the know. Look 4ward to swaping tips more from you than giving it. Chow. Stud. |

| Re: Fly fishing Short version mackerel man, cause im going out bass fishing as soon as wife gets home from work. Im going to make this guy rich. I bought a book by R.V Righyni its called salmon taking times, plus i bought a video of a man called bert atkins a mile down the road who fished our club river for 25 years and probably the best salmon angler there is, and it showed me all his hotspots and a tip or 2, which can take 20yrs to get in to club, and the same to learn it so to speak. Anyway buy book, if not when i get a minute or 2 i will give a ruff idea, when a salmon is a taker and when not, with pleasure. Stud. I only use that name cause thats what the wife calles me. |
