new member - river Nith

Hi I have just set up for my dad who doesnt have acces to the internet yet! He is looking at fishing the river Nith in September and is looking for a good stretch of river to fish and a B&B to stay in, If anybody can help it will be apreciated and I am sure he will be on here chatting as soon as the internet gets connected!

i have fished the river a handful of times at thornhill at the backend of the season for the famous grey back salmon. thornhill is a quiet little village and everytime i have fished the river it has always been full of salmon but my rod has not always be so lucky. the beat at thornhill starts from the bridge and follows down about 3 miles a nice strech of water with smashing runs. last year when i fished there one of the boys caught a 3lb grayling? good luck in the fishing and try to book for the end of the month m8

The Mid nithsdale Association Water based around and downstream of Thornhill. Permits used to be from the local Pet Shop.
Accommodation various but I used to stay at the Buccleugh and Queensbury Hotel in the town.
