| the ericht tomorrow!!!!! getting excited for my first salmon trip of the year theres 6 of us off to the ericht, we have about 6 miles of beat booked on the ericht and a good bit of the isla. just been checking fishtay and there was 32 springers caught on the tay system last week, 3 of which fell to the same bloke on the same day on the ericht (jammy b@*****) so signs are good, water is up but dropping, weather forecast is favourable and if the salmon let us down the isla is famous for its big brownies!!!! watch this space for pics of my first springer of the year! (fingers crossed)     |

 Re: the ericht tomorrow!!!!! Good luck mate. It's many years since I fished there & all I caught were a few tiny Brownies. Beautiful water though. If you enjoy reading, try John Englis Hall's book Fishing a Highland stream which is all about fishing the ericht & is one of my favourite fly fishing books. | Re: the ericht tomorrow!!!!! thanks greenheart, this is only my 3rd salmon season so im still pretty new to it, the book sounds like it would be a gem for me as im only an hours drive from the tay system. will find it on the web somewhere i imagine. |
