had some time

well i had some time today for about 1 hour to go fishing while my missus took the kids to the fair ground more money so then off i went to the local and met a guy there he said where ya fishing mate i said in there oh he said have you tried that little pit at the back in the corner i said no and all i had was my lure rod he said ive never seen anyone fish it dont even know if there is any fish in it he said go give that a try you never know your luck ok then i said so off i went to it then i got there it did look little i could only see 3 swims and it looked shallow as i could see the bottom so far out i then i thought where the hell has this bloke took me well any i got the rod out then i choose ma lure my favourite one :) so i had a couple off casts here and there the bottom was clean felt the odd bump but nothing much mmmmm i thought so then nothing so i moved swim not many to choose lol had a few casts in there round some reeds then out in the middle still nothing then i thought maybe the guy was right never seen anyone fish it lol so i thought last swim i see some like logs and over hanging tress so i had a bash round there working the lure and bouncing the lure a cross the bottom then as i was bouncing the lure a cross the bottom i notice a swirl where my lure was but nothing had it so i cast it out again in the same place then bouncing again then i felt a pull so i strike it and summ it was on and was fighting well then i see it it was a pike nice scales hit 5lb 2oz great i thought so then let him go back

then i thought that will do i hd anothe he was hard to get no more and time was running out so then i head back home and thought to my self i am gonna get a float rod in there when the warmer weather gets here i never know

Lovely fish mate and great read -- you cannot beat taking a pike on a lure -- heart stopping
