it was hard going

well i decide to go fishing over the local on 12/02/07 as my mate did turn up on sunday to go on the river after some zzzzzzzs. so i went for a bit off piking on the local and when i got there a couple off chaps had nothing. and said pike just dont want to know so i said ill have a go for them and see. so then i headed off to my swim then got my float rod out for some live first. even the bites came hard for the roach i was like getting a bite about every 30 mins. it was doing my head in but i the end i started to get some nice roach. it picked up abit so then i had anoth roach for the pike. then said one more roach then it will do. so then i was watching my float for about 4mins then it went so i strike it and it was on. it felt nice then up it came to the surface then i said thats a nice roach dont see many off that size in here so here it is.

so then i packed the rod float away and got the pike rod out. so i decide to put float on so the live can cover a lot off area as the chaps said the pike dont want to know. but they was ledgering for them so then i got my live on and out it went. only used one rod as for got the other rod lol so then as it do swiming around all over the place. 1 hour went by but still nothing so then i reel in and cast it to the reeds ahead off me. then it was swiming in and out off the reeds for about 10 mins. and then it shot under the water and was thrashing the water about at the same time. then i thought yes thats a pike got hold off it. so then i got to the rod an strike and dam i missed it i was gutted. and the chaps came over and said did you see that splash in the reeds i said yeah that was my bait getting attack by a pike. oh he said did you hook it i said no i missed it the chap said unlucky mate maybe next time yeah i said. ill get him so the off the chaps went back to there swim and i put another live on and out it went to the same reeds and hoped again. but about 1 hour went by in the reeds and nothing then the rain was getting hard i was getting soaked like a drownded rat. so i thought thats it i pack up the chaps where right it was hard going for the pike. so then as i was walking off i see the chaps reel there rods in and ran to my swim i had just left lol i hope they caught lol but ill be back pike.
