glad i went

hello all well i looked out off my house window today and i said to my self what cracking day out there today. i think ill go for a pike today so i was getting my gear ready then off i went to the loacal again. got there and set my pole up for some live bait. i was catching a few roach and rudd and perch then my pole float went i strike it was on but it felt heavy and putting up with a fight i thought this is something nice up it came to the surface it was a nice big slab golden bream.

and so then i had anothe live bait. so i pack the pole away and got the pike gear and and rods out. so i put both on floats live roach on each then out they went where i thought i can get a pike from.well there they were going round and round. then got a call it was my mate so he poped down to see me as he arrived one off my floats shot under. i thougth im in i went to the rod hit it straight away it was hooked i was playing it. up it came a pike so my mate got the net and took a pic for me pike 4lb 6oz he cant take a pic lol

so i let him go then put another live roach on out it went again. then sat down 1 hour went bye so my mate headed off home. then i looked at one off my floats it was heading towards the reeds fast. but not bobbing then it stopped in the reeds so i left it then about 2 mins later it shot under. so i got to the rod and hit it. it was hooked it was puting up with a fight. but it soon slown down. so it came to the surface it was another pike 4lb 3 oz so then i took pic my self

so got the live roach on and out it went again. so then sat back down and 20 mins went bye then i herd my little boy shoutting me across the field. so i looked round and there he was with my little other boy and my missus so then they sat with me talking about fishing. he like his fish and my little boy said your float is moving i said yes i know its got a live roach on. he said know its under the water. i said oh i ran to the rod and strike it was on i thought its coming in easy. and a little pike my little boy was going mad with joy lol so the missus took the pic me and my little boy other boy was asleep if not he would be in the pic aswell bless him. pike 1lb 7oz

so then my boy put it back in the water then he said come home now dad you caught them all. i laugh so then i guess it was time to head off home packed up the gear and off i was till next time

I'm a bit late!

Great report - good to see more young anglers being introduced -

It really is a great photo! Send it in to AT or AM, he'd be well pleased to be in the papers
