Smile happy man again

well i decided to go to a local lake today for a bash of piking so i got my gear and off i went when i got there i was gob smacked the place was frozen over so i got my net and and bread i was smashing the ice with the net then i chucked bread on the ice where i wanted to fish so the ducks would open me a swim up lol but then said sod it i aint fishing there so i took a little walk over to a little pit on the side off the road it looked nice and clear in the water and nice and carm so i set the rod up and put a neon rubber fish on done a couple off cast out here and there then i was on my 5th cast then i cast to the reeds reeling in slow then bang i was in it was putting up a good fight after a little play it came up to the surface it was a pike 5lb 3oz then i see a mn in a gas wise van in the car park and shouted the bloke he came over and said was up i said can you take a pic with ma camera mate he said yeah sure so he then put his fish and chips down lol and took a photo for me thanks mate lol

then i done a few more casts but nothing else caught then i thought i had anothe so i took a stroll back to the first place i went and hoped the ducks had done me a nice swim and they had so i set another rod up on a float stuck ma bait on half a roach then cast it in to where i thought it would get me a pike so then i sat down for about 15 mins then i was setting ma other rod up what had the lure on to another float as i had my back to the rod that was already out i herd it screaming turnt round the rod was bending on the rod rest i got to it i hit into it it felt a good fish had it on a while then the hooks pulled i was gutted dont even know what it was but felt a good fish so then i stuck bait on then put it back out there then carried on setting my other rod up then got that done put bait on then cast it out then sat back down about 45 mins later i kept seeing one of my floats kept bobbing for about 20 seconds then it stop then must off cleared off i thought dame so i picked the rod up gave it a twitch then the float just went under then i hit into it then i was on was putting up with a good fight it came up the surface abit far out i just got a sight off it and god im sure it was a zander looked a good double then hooks pulled i swear to god it was a zander but dont know for sure been told they are in there but i never seen one in there or come out in 15 years i have fished it writh then i put bait back on then put it back where i just hooked that one then as i was putting the rod down it was pulling out off my hand straight away could not believe it so i hit in to it and it was another pike 3lb 6oz

so then put ma bait back on put it out in the middle this time then sat back down then about 2 hours past by then dark was setting in and thought i bet to pack away in min as wont be able to see my floats another 20 mins past by then i see my float out in the middle bobbing up and down so i kept an eye on it then suddenly it went straight under so i got to my rod then hit in to it and i was on got it in the edge then up it came another pike 3lb 3oz

so then i put bait back on gave it another 10 mins then nothing so i packed up and headed home
