| Are there any pike in Cardiff Bay?? Hi all, I have a boat moored in Penarth marina, which is part of a big freshwater lake behind the barrage. There are loads of perch, roach, Chub and dace around, so i'm wondering if there are some pike there? My thoughts that when it is too windy to go out into the channel i could anchor up within the bay and try for some pike? Any info?? Gareth |

| Re: Are there any pike in Cardiff Bay?? Must admit I was talking to Mike and Dan about this the last time I was down on Lady Helen There is so much bait fish there as the area is air rated that there must be some massive pike in the water Give it a go as I myself think there are 30lbers in there its just no one fishes for them and hence people think they are not there If there are perch then there will be pike , its that simple ![]() __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |

| Re: Are there any pike in Cardiff Bay?? Now thats a good question, aparantly not,Richard and i have mused about it several times. The fisheries guys net the bay to moniter whats going on ,and no pike have beeen netted (yet). Not to say that they are not there. The wetlands over in the far corner look like prime Pike teritory, but as its a conservation area, fishing it might be a bit dodgy. |
