Wink lime kilns again

well after a delayed start got to lime kilns, wind blowing a hooley but have rod will fish
set up just after 10 first swim on main bank nothing, nowt, diddly only the wind making rods move
so just before 12 moved up and arround bend and got wind behind me

cast out first rod to far bank and proceded to sort out banksticks for 2nd when off went fist
good scrap and i thought i was into a really big fish as it hung low and then snagged me up, bulied it out then shook its head all the way in
this has to be my first double i was thinking
but no
a very fiesty pike of 5 1/2 lb came in, really had given it all though
and was first pike i have had to worry about deep hooks, but he was unhooked (weighed in nice new sling ) photod and after few seconds in water on return still swam off well

this was swim after that fish and i got myself sorted

well unffortunately nothing else happened till deadline of 2
so packed up and back home in time for kids
nice few hours

dave
