Question pike- figure of eighting

i have read in some magazines, that as your lure gets closwe to the edge, you figure of eight it or something??!?!?

does anybody know what this involves??

Yes as it says just draw a figure of 8 with your rod tip

It puts a destressed motion into your lure

Does work but I always find vering your speed seems to incourage takes

Only if it getting hard fishing

I find that when plugging if I dont get a hit in a bought 10 - 15 casts I move to the next peg

is it common to get a fish every 10-15 casts then??

i move all along the river during the day, cover a lot of ground, but only had 2 follows in like 12 hours last time

For me fishing lake espe.. the swims arent big or deep

Pike tend to hold up in once place i.e reeds tree roots ect so if I do not get them going Im of I find I normally get a few in a couple of hours only small

But thats plugging , for bigger fish then I go for dead bait
