| Re: frostbite special well it was a nice session although rather chilly to say the least. got there at 01.00 and fished through until 3 this afternoon. the catch ? 2 jack pike caught in the last hour on a spinner rather quiet but enjoyable all the same. certainly beats christmas shopping thats for sure |

| Re: frostbite special Here is my run down of a winter night sesh as we all know that the big old girls feed hard at night. First of all it has to be full length long-johns and thermal t-shirt then i put on a base layer of tracksuit bottoms and a thin fleece top ,next its a pair of jeans or combats and a thick fleece top finally i wear the wychwood thermal bib'n'brace and wychwood extremis thermal goretex jacket....i used to wear a scarf but i have recently purchased a neck warmer ,for those of you who dont know its like the collar of a polo neck attached to material that goes over your shoulders and under your fleece. Its made out of fleece and is also by wychwood, it keeps all draughts out and is better than any scarf. In my bivvy i would have a gas powered lantern and a small propane heater, i take a bed chair (by badger) but this is really only to sit on rather than sleep as i dont when on a night expo. All i would say about all the gas and propane in your bivvy is take extreme care and make sure that your valves and hoses are all in top nick as i had a mate who almost fried himself as his butane heater hose sprung a leak as the rubber hose was perished by bad maintenance, luckily he was ok other than some singed pubes....!!  __________________ "I LOVE THE SMELL OF ESSOX IN THE MORNING!!"
