 Lime kilns for a change ;D well after sorting out an access key last week to get through the new barrier  i was itching to get to canal. i have tried spinning the turfs section twice now for nowt got there and it was a tad blowy but ok. water level way down , so i headed to the boats  were after clearing the shelter of the tree bank the wind made it impossible to get a bait across to them, also i was only float ledgering and floats were being knocked flat by wind so back to the packed main bank   2 rods dead baits float ledgered and a spin arround whilst waiting stuck on this bright lump  3rd or 4th cast and thought id snagged but then a head shake and this tiny but important jack was in my hands  possibly the smallest pike i've ever caught but a fish  carried on until too dimpsey to see floats, nothing doing after that though a thouroughhly pleasent afternoon, very quiet there now the access is limited, ( did notice quite a few swims growing over already) i shall be back soon for a bigger assault  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
