Dud at Dudmaston.

Quick report as there's not much action (as usual).

Had intended to go to the river Severn to recce the stretch I want to night fish. The plan was spend an hour and half here then go piking in Dudmaston.

Drove to the car park next to Severn. Got out of my car. Walked over to the "Put your £1 here box". Dropped a pound in and walked back to the car ready to get the boots on.

and my phone rang. It was work. NOT AGAIN!!! This is the second time this has happened. So got back in the car, drove to the office, saved the universe from imminent lack of electricity bills. By now time was running out.

Change of plan then.

Straight to Dudmaston, no time for recce.

Got the and went to the East bank where the reeds were and proceeded to cast a (now much larger, thanks to Walmart) selection of spiiner baits, plugs and jelly type baits at the totally unimpressed pike . No follows.
Nowt.
Blanked.
Again.

Chris, don't get me wrong I am indeed VERY grateful to have a job right now....you know how it is. When you've got one you sometimes wish you didn't and when your wish comes true you desperately wish you did. Unless you retired properly.

I tried that last time an when the guys in the Computer Operations room described the problem the guy at the samaratans had to hang up and go for a pint to recover.....
