first post looking to start piking as the carp stop feeding any tips for a beginner

learn correct way of handling and unhooking dont fish slack lines you will end up with deep hooked fish ,rem the teeth are sharp and they have anti coagulant on them you will bleed along time lol forceps or long nosed pliers are a must i also take small electrician wire cutters ,,,as for catching them look for the prey fish they wont be far deeper water as it gets cold works on my local but they love a sunny shallow ,,good luck

What he said, plus try and get along to your local area Pike Anglers Club meetings and dont be afraid to ask for advice somebody will show you the best way to handle and care for the pike you catch. Good Luck.
