| canal lure fishing, Hey all, was just wondering if anyones fished the BAA water on the canal in kidderminster for pike or perch? Was wondering if its worth the trip over for a day on the lures, as I've heard a few rumors of 3lb perch cmin out but dunno how true they are, Also what's wolverly/cookly like for pike or perch? I very much doubt it but is there any zander up that way? Been aving some fun on the lures latly on the severn and canal in worcester but nuffing huge to report as of yet, Thanks Jay     |

| Re: canal lure fishing, yes i have fished it, it has good head of perch had jacks out when using gudgeon for perch nothing of any size tho mate dont think the zander up that far yet some 1 will know cheef is from that way pm him we have em on fazely from under spaghettie junction right up to fenny drayton by the theme park though |

| Re: canal lure fishing, iv fished the canal a fair bit the main things in there perch(had one 3.2 few years back),roach,gudgeon,chub(had some good fish upto 4lb reporadly upto 6lb+ though) but theres some good carp to though never caught one there spread out but cookley is known as carp corner on the bend towards the lock pub, some good shoals of bream to seen them upto 5-6lb come out ,ive also had eels and a few rudd,theres some good pike to from what iknow never fished for them though __________________ hates 'carp puddles' targets for 2011 10lb+worcs stour barbel,specimen tench and chub. |

| Re: canal lure fishing, Cheers for the replies guys, Yeah heard there's carp by the lock, but been hearing rumours of perch to 3lb and the odd pike in the canal down by lile avenue, but not sure what to belive, as at the month I'm solo focusing on pike perch and zander so I'm just exploring new routes for waters, What's behind pizza hut like in kiddie for pike anyone know? | Re: canal lure fishing, well you will catch pike in all stretches same as all theyre spaced out butive heard of alot come out in town behind pizza hut is what we used tocall the chub pegs had some good fish seen some good fish including a 12lb ghostie my mates brother had about 8-9years ago,theres defo not zander in there but probably will be soon as there in the severn at stourport. one place i would recommend for pike is podmore pool rammed to the brim with pike and i mean comepletly rammed only thing is paching it lol __________________ hates 'carp puddles' targets for 2011 10lb+worcs stour barbel,specimen tench and chub. |

| Re: canal lure fishing, Cheers mate I'll defo give the lures ago along pizza hut when I'm next in kiddie I'm there nearly every week visitin my nan and grandad lol, so may have a few times this month! Where abts are the zeds in stourport? The severn in worcester doesn't seem to be producing anything at the moment, Ps are the pike big in kiddie? |
