Hi Baz weed is starting to die off but at the moment the water levels are extremely low

It looks like it could be.."count zero" I thought they were out of the tackle shops years ago... Just a glove and forceps and know how is all you need..

Hi Ian. Thanks for info on canal. Didnt think levels would be low after all this rain? Just looked at the photo. Didnt notice it myself. Hope it aint a gag. Careful handling, long forceps, is all thats needed, particularly if barbless trebles used.

Baz dont let the low levels put you off its not great for lures at the mo but I had 5 fish on smelts this afternoon 4 doubles and the biggest was 15lb 7oz

Ah..Not bad at all Ian. I was thinking of staying with the lures for another week or so...but......sounds like deadbaits are possibly the way to go for remainder of year. Well done on the pike too, and nice size too.
