 Chew 2 the return well i had been looking forward to yesterday( does that make sence  ) since januarythe weather in last few days has been changeable to say the least, with most worryingly high wind but report for day was lighter but gusty winds , overcast and maybe a shower in afternoon, cool i can handle that so off at 6.15 , arrive 7,45 then in for brekkie  , now fuelled we were ready, and we are out on boat 27  well it was a bit choppy but not too bad, but getting boat stable in the wind was a nightmare, the back just kept drifting, but dead rod went out and lures on other rod   the weather seemed to reun arround the hills arround us but never hit us, so ok a few layers on to kill the wind, but never needed waterproof  about 11.30ish we headed over to morton bank, and i stuck on my smallest lure a 4 1/2 inch rubber shad  first cast and it stopped on the retrieve, grr weed, No not weed it moved..then yes fish on and what a spirited fish, several good strong runs , 2 good jumps and tail walking as well but eventually it went into the net and struggled to get true weight due to wind and sling so going for 13 , but i was chuffed my first boat caught fish  we were now more enthused , but didnt seem to matter what we did, nothing else came to play we tried over wick green and spring bay, its very shallow and weedy over there but we tried . just off the island again was weedy and shallow takeing boat back at 6 others seemed to struggle as well, with 1 boat having blanked for 2nd day massive thanks to lee for sorting, i will apply as well in january a good yet hard day thank  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
