Re: live bait? I personally prefer lures to bait for ethical reasons, but if I'm fishing for dinner it's bait all the way. Nothing is more effective than dropping a live fish in front of a fish-eating predator like a northern pike. __________________ 2012 species: 13 All-time species: 65 New species caught in 2012: white sucker, popeye shiner, white shiner

Re: live bait? personlay my view is pike eat live food and i agree with it in these cases live bait is caught and used in the river or lake you are intending to fish saveing spread of disease and that 2lb roach arnt used ,,its law of the jungle underwater

Re: live bait? I agree with chazy, as long as the fish is not imported from another water and is the same size as the pike are hunting then fair game! No specimen roach or perch killed by uneccesarily puting hooks through them though!! __________________ Species for 2011: Pike, Perch, Chub, Roach, Silver Eel, Thorn Back Ray.
