Pike trace storage- how to

Hi Guys I decided to make myself a new rig binder today for my pike traces and I thought it might be usefull for beginners to see how simple and inexpensive one can be made so i made a quick how to ....

Firstly you will need;
Roughly 10 inches of foam pipe lagging/insulation
Some duct tape
A bunch of map pins


Simply roll up the pipe lagging and tape in place, then cover the rest of the lagging in tape.
Then all you have to do is insert the first trebble into the lagging, wrap around and pin the swivel with the map pin.



If you are worried about the hooks being exposed then you can use a large washing up liquid bottle or a piece of drain pipe as a sheath.
You can use the binder for other hook linksals ie, carping ,sea fishing ect.

Apologies if Ive taught a lot of you to suck eggs but if one person finds it usefull then job done.

Cheers for posting that, its something i need to improve on to be honest, i just chuck my traces into a box and spend an age untangling them most of the time. Although i have a similar sort of system to that aswell.

It's just a town full of Leeds fans lol

Was he wearing a red shirt by chance?




I use the same idea as MT but once i have got to that stage i place the insulation into a tube of empty wipes similar to this:



That will protect the hooks nick.

baby wipe tubs are good for putting your rigs in
