Re: which end do i apply proffesor

i'm a little confused by your question mate,
a kuusamo professor in my understanding is a spoon-like lure , if you are asking how to mount it on the spinning trace you have to put the split ring into the snap link on the end of the trace
hope that helps

Professors are great Lures, you can even go on a factory tour if you happen to be in the right part of Finland!! I can understand your question and confusion. The answer is that Professors are designed to be used from either end. They have a different action depending on which end you go with, so give tghem both a go. Obviously you'll need to swap the treble round to fish the other end. The flatter end give a shallower action with more movement from the back of the lure, while the pointed end gives a deeper retrieve and more all over body wobble. For what it's worth i usually use the pointed end as the end to attach the trace to.

Re: which end do i apply proffesor

yes, take the treble off one end. If you carry a pair of split ring pliers when you're fishing it's easy enough to swap it to the other end if you want to see how it works the other way round.

It will look like this !!

Re: which end do i apply proffesor

Don't worry it is confusing. I believe the Finns use them for vertical jigging through the ice in winter and leave both hooks on for that. However if you are casting the treble at the trace end will just keep catching in the trace when you cast. Most of the version sold in the UK only come with one hook.
