Session Tomorrow.

Tomorrow afternoon will be my second session of the year, i havent been out as much as i would have liked to have been with the ice and my exams! I've got a half day from school so home by 2 and at lake for a quarter past will have to do and i will fish to just into darkness.

So tomorrow after the thaw and the slight peak in temperatures i want a fish! Any size will do me as long as its a pike

So will have pic and report tomorrow (including fish hopefully!!)

Just in from the session there not too long ago and it wasn't a bad few hours at all.

I had a rushed lunch in school and headed for home at about half one, the traffic meant i was running late for meeting up with my friend and i was getting worried about the lack of time we would get by the lake due to the early nights. Arrived home at two fifteen and quickly got changed and fired the tackle into the jeep and set off for the cross country trip to the lake which was good fun itself!

Half 2 and we were at the lake ready to get going. I was fishing tight to the deck with sprats (Over 30 for £1.14 in Tesco, now thats a bargain!! ) and my friend J fishing same method with sardines and roach. We fished one bait each with my super-de-dooper attractant and one with out to see if it made a difference. This experiment proved to me that it did work as out of the 4 runs we had each 3 came to the baits with the attractant.



With the mention of 4 runs each you might have thought we landed a bag full but this unfortunately wasn't the case. We had a few early runs even though we were fishing in almost full sunlight and when we struck into them we felt no resistance what so ever, im not sure it was something we were doing wrong or it was just one of those days and to be honest we'll never know! This is the way the general pattern of the day went; missed run after missed run! Especially just after sun set we were getting almost instant runs when baits hit water almost.

It was nearing time to pack up and beep beep beeeeep went the buzzers again, but this time we connected with a fish which even surprised us . After a short and rushed fight we landed a lively jack around 5/6lbs. It was quickly unhooked, snapped and put back to fight another day. It was my first fish of 2011 and the first points i have put towards Team 'Black Magic' this hunt.

Lets hope on sunday can have a higher fish to runs ratio!
