Dubious weight

Hi guys and gals

Are there any experienced pikers out there who could help put an approximate weight to this fish, it weighed 13lb 2oz on the scales but I dont agree, something must have occured in the process, same old story!!

I know the photos always make them look bigger but it would not move the position of my arms, im sad enough to have recreated the pose infront of the big screen in my lounge and measured the distance which was 44 inches from the hand chinning the fish up by my shoulder to the bottom hand which is oustretched towards the camera with my arm locked solid to support the weight, this does not include the overhang towards the tail or the snout. The close up photo shows the girth across the back, this was no skinny fish!

Ive caught 5 other doubles this season the biggest at 17lb 8oz (my profile picture) and this fish dwarfed all of those. I did not want to keep the fish out longer than neccessary and double check the weight so got her back in the water.

what scales do you use ?
did you deduct weight of sling

think he deducted 10lb

got to echo nicks post,what scales ?
if they were avons you could have mis read the reading
the dial could have gone round an extra rotation and given you a weight of 21lb 2oz,

I have been on the pac weight to length page, I know it was not as big as some of the estimates they were giving but I would say it was a 20lb'er, ive netted a couple for friends and would say this was just as big. We used digital scales and deducted the weight of the sling but I still think this was incorrect. This would be my first 20 so wanna get to the bottom of it really, !

Ive noticed the fish has been tagged on the dorsel fin so gonna go in to the local tackle shop and see if anyones seen this fish before!

difficult to say via angle, but got a seriously big head too body so would have to say a 20 myself
rest is even more of an estimate

Minimum 20lb, maybe more but difficult to say....

thats a lovely fish like has been said looks a defonate 20lber if not a little more well done mate

This was 18lb 8 weighed on two sets of scales, I know the angles look different and your fish is a bit slenderer but your fish defo looks bigger.
