Blanked again.

Had a couple of hours on the Staffs Worcester at Caunsall.

The water was 6.2 degrees a looked clear.

No sign of any fish activity at all. Not even the small roach that dimple the surface in the summer.

Tried plugs high and slow, deeper and faster. Dead slow and twitched.

Tried yelly baits on the bottom, mid water and slow.

Tried spinners.

And spinner baits .

Not a show.

Dead baits are next then I reckon.

That's why they call it fishing and not catching. It just makes the catches all the more memorable.

perhaps they were yelling too much mate, scared the fish off
