hi guys

im new to the site and a total nivice to fishing/pike so thought i would post a proper intro here as pike are what im looking for.

last time i picked up a rod was about 15 years ago when i was fishing for pike for the first and last time i was using gudgeon? as bait (live) caught from under a motorway bridge lol i had 2 that day and loved it (i dont know why i stopped maybe it was a phase) i did a little carp and tench fishing but power to size ratio was out of this world

im looking for equipment advice and tips i will be fishing the river wey mainly i suppose

my young family is growing and everyone deserves some lone time right? lol

i have a budget of around £500 to get me started exc licences and so on

any advice would be great

personally mate i would go into a good tackle shop ith a angler who knows his fishing ,
it is no good people telling you what is what if you dont know what their on about ,

i would buy a couple of books to read so at least you are aware of the different methods and tackle required

that sounds like a good start i have a mate who does a lot of carp fishing so ill see if he has any good advice also
