Piking around Langport?

I'm just about to start fishing again after a break of about a quarter of a century, inspired by my golfing buddy, who really fancies a spot of piking. I remember pulling a few out of the Parrett and associated drains around the Muchelney / Lanport area (Somerset). Anybody got any recent experience of fishing the area? Are any fish left in the waters hereabouts? Any suggetions much appreciated. Ed.

Re: Piking around Langport?

The Brue near Glastonbury on a Glaston Manor ticket has some biggies , a chap had a 21 lb'er from Cow Bridge just before Christmas , 100 yards from where I was blanking ! Plenty of jacks in there too . Tickets from Street Angling , the owner knows the river well & is a keen pike man himself .
Good luck .
