| Well i think you all know how much i was looking forward to this Lee (Lman) had managed to book a boat way way back in the year, and i was invited along so after going to bed way later than needed too ( why was a good prog about robert plant on so late ) i was up before the alarm at 5.45 and after a pretty easy drive ( despite the misty rain ) i was waiting in line at chew at 7,45 . Lee was there just before doors opened for breakfast at 8![]() so after being fed and waterered it was down to the boats, the rain had stopped and it was lovely( well if you ignored the steady cold northerly wind) the water level was very low , but here goes ![]() ![]() well the first stop was a bit of a disaster, we couldnt get the anchor right and we were rocking and rolling and drifting ![]() 2nd stop and all was better, deadbait on one rod and big shads on other still nothing so we moved to an area known as ........... shallows( sure lee will fill this in more where at last Lees dead bait rod went off and he was in ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I will let lee finish this tale off, as he also has pictures and mine was awfull lets just say it was a tad special ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() anyaways after that we headed to several more spots and whipped the water to a froth with the lures and lots of deads were drifted/ledgerered etc but all for 1 follow on my yellow shad we were treated to a lovely sunset when the lake went like a mirror ![]() unfortunately no fish for me and by the sounds of others all had had a tough day but well done captain pugwash ![]() ![]() ![]() and many thanks for sorting catch up soon funny thing is my head still feels as though i am rocking in a boat ![]() I will be back when can get a ticket again, its a pretty special place ![]() dave and heres Lees much much better report What a day at Chew __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives Last edited by pingu; 11-08-2010 at 06:06 AM. |
