| 1st pike outing of the season. well it was my 1st pike outing of the season .was great to be out again was fishing some drains near ramsey.still very weedy need some good hard frosts .did not catch. it was very sunny i dont know why but i never do well when its bright and sunny ?? . but was nice getting them rods out again.roll on next trip.     |

 Re: 1st pike outing of the season. hello all i think low percentage of pike catching is due to the easter block anglers for example i met a guy who was catching pike for his dinner when i confronted him about what he was doing he said i dont understand this is not your canal and i dont eat pike all the time i like carp , i told him to f,,, off back to poland and catch your dinner |

| Re: 1st pike outing of the season. we have the same problem on the fen drains big j.but like everything else in England we just sit back and moan about it but do nothing about it . anyway I went out for a walk with my dog along a drain that im going to fish on thursday. and as always i had my spining rod and some lures in my car .had a few casts up and down the drain and yes i had 2 pike not big but good fun .im thinking of fishing the river cam for pike and zander this winter but i want to day and night fish it. any one know of a good swim where i can park the car up and be safe at night ???? |
