Re: GREYS PROWLA Range

I have used some of the tackle, not the rods though. i would say its over priced for what it is, still not bad kit.

Re: GREYS PROWLA Range

I use the Dart flight floats and the hooks.

My thoughts: Quality well worth paying for.

Not used anything other than terminal tackle though.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone that has. I'm looking for some new rods.

Re: GREYS PROWLA Range

Cant beat the Fox range for rods - i use the "deadbait piker" in 3.25 and 2.75 - quality rods. The rods in the 3.35 are forgiving under the tip and are equally at home on small drains or giving it the "big un" on large waters!

Re: GREYS PROWLA Range

Thanks for that. At the mo I'm using some Abu Garcia Equalizer carp rods I had off my mate but have just got the Shimano 5500XTA Tribal baby big pit reels and want some nice new rods to go with them now.

A few of the guys at the South Cerney Pits I fish have custom made ones but they are paying stupid money for them.

Time to start shopping around I reckon.

Re: GREYS PROWLA Range

Keep an eye in ebay mate, i bought one for my cousin - £24. I bought a new one recently on there (discontinued now) £34 delivered. I cant see the point of custom builds when you can get decent rods that do the same thing for hell of a lot cheaper!

custom = tart factor

Re: GREYS PROWLA Range

each to their own fella - personally i cant see the point when their's so many products out there that will do the job you want it to!

Dont think for one minute im critising people for having custom gear - i have some myself. Like you, it was made to suit "my" needs. Having looked at custom rods im afraid i just cant justify spending so much money when i get get exactly what i want for alot less money. There's loads to go at on the market without me throwing my hard earnt cash away on a product that's no better and costs substantially more than i can already buy
