Some Stupid Anglers About Nowadays.

So I really needed to get this rant out somewhere so bare with me. Today I have a little 4 hour session at Loch Ascog. I Was wading round the bay a little just casting my lure past the weeds, I had a few jacks. Anyway to the point. The last pike I had on I go it in And lifted it to go and get my foreceps when I was unhooking it I noticed another trace coming out of its mouth, Which confused me. So I unhooked my lure from its mouth and started to atted to this other trace as i pulled the trace gentley up comes half a f****** mackeral which was stuck in the pikes throat from some stupid f****** people fishing. I unhooked the 2 trebles from the pikes throat. It just made me wonder the idiots that mustbe fishing not known what there doing, Once I returned the pike etc i looked at the trace there was still a little line attached to the trace it must have been no more than 6lb line, If i hadnt have caught this pike again and took this out its throat it would have died it had lost loads of blood i could see when i took it out the water it was covered in blood. It made me annoyed to know that Not idiots but inexperianced people like this are harming pike. End of my rant.

Its not just in pike fishing mate ,it is in all types of angling , little thought for the fish welfare , Well done for saving the fish

well done , you probally saved that pikes life. I have had the same before only this time it was conger trace wire and a 8/0 sea hook, the trace was 6 inches long the pike had bitten through the mainline. This pike was about 14lb.
Once unhooked it swam away hopefully to fight another day
