Trenchford reservoir Well spent 3 days there on my holls last week not even a sniff, fished from the right hand side of the dam wall from the rocks, I must have been unlucky or was in the wrong place what area of the dam is best for next year Mind you most of the water is hard to get to without doing a mini marathon Bait used on 3 rods mackerel smelt and bluesy and a fare bit of lamprey I managed to get a nice big bag of mackerel for free and cut them into small bits and did a scattering as an attractor, the oily slick looked like a BP oil well LOL, I think I would have been better with a hand grenade but the tackle shop was all out of them LOL

Re: Trenchford reservoir I've only fished it a couple of times with little joy, but I understand from a friend that a good long walk 1/3 of the way round the lake from the dam in an anti clockwise direction is the way to go... You're right, though it a bit of a treck. __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait?

Re: Trenchford reservoir this is a late reply,, use to fish it alot, hire 1 off the boats about 6-10 quid for the day and use large plugs,u will catch..... or use herring with the sink and draw method , i never caught any pike by the damn wall, try the curve of the bank opposite damn wall and the shallows at both ends of resivour.
