Pike fishing in Ireland

Desperately need some good sensible advice folks.

I am going to Ireland in April with 10 others as part of my stag weekend (yep, getting married in May), I have always wanted to go pike fishing and thought this would be a good opportunity, we are staying in Limerick.
We have trawled the web sites looking for reasonable rates to hire rods and a few boats (would like to try lake fishing) but they all seem quite expensive.

Does anyone know of someone over there who could fix us up, we dont mind paying, as long as its reasonable.
